O que (quem) é systemic vascular resistance - definição

RESISTANCE THAT MUST BE OVERCOME TO PUSH BLOOD THROUGH THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM AND CREATE FLOW
Pulmonary vascular resistance; Systemic vascular resistance; Total peripheral resistance; Peripheral vascular resistance; Pulmonal vascular resistance; Total Peripheral Resistance; Peripheral resistance; Vascular tone; Vasomotor tone; Arteriolar tone; Total peripheral flow resistance; Total Peripheral Flow Resistance

Vascular resistance
Vascular resistance is the resistance that must be overcome to push blood through the circulatory system and create flow. The resistance offered by the systemic circulation is known as the systemic vascular resistance (SVR) or may sometimes be called by the older term total peripheral resistance (TPR), while the resistance offered by the pulmonary circulation is known as the pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR).
Systemic acquired resistance
  • Systemic response after pathogen infection.
THE SALICYLIC ACID MEDIATED RESPONSE TO A PATHOGEN WHICH CONFERS BROAD SPECTRUM RESISTANCE.
Systemic acquired resistance SAR
Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) is a "whole-plant" resistance response that occurs following an earlier localized exposure to a pathogen. SAR is analogous to the innate immune system found in animals, and although there are many shared aspects between the two systems, it is thought to be a result of convergent evolution.
Systemic disease
SYSTEMIC DISEASE IS ONE THAT AFFECTS A NUMBER OF ORGANS AND TISSUES, OR AFFECTS THE BODY AS A WHOLE
Systemic infection; Multisystem disease; Systemic illness; Systemic disorder; Systemic condition; Life-threatening disease; Systemic reaction
A systemic disease is one that affects a number of organs and tissues, or affects the body as a whole.Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary,28th edition (Harcourt Brace & Company).

Systemic vascular resistance is used in calculations of blood pressure, blood flow, and cardiac function. Vasoconstriction (i.e., decrease in blood vessel diameter) increases SVR, whereas vasodilation (increase in diameter) decreases SVR.
